St. Vincent’s: Honoria Conway-Heather tenant, family & visitor guide

St. Vincent’s: Honoria Conway is an assisted living residence. We offer housing and support for seniors who can make decisions but need help with daily tasks. We also offer supportive housing for adults with disabilities.

We are operated by Providence Health Care on a 7.5 acre property at the corner of Heather Street and West 33rd Avenue in Vancouver. Our residence is named for Sister Honoria Conway, who founded the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception. The Sisters’ legacy extends across Canada.

Our residence has 60 one-bedroom suites for seniors with 20 suites on each of three upper floors. The suites are approximately 550 square feet in area. They each have a bedroom, bathroom with shower, living room and kitchenette with fridge, microwave and two-burner cook-top stove.

The suites are suitable for either single tenants or couples. All suites are unfurnished. Tenants can keep one small pet. Free parking is available for you and your visitors.

Each floor has:

• A common balcony
• A common living room with a fireplace
• A kitchen where the cook will prepare your lunch and dinner
• A shared dining room
• A laundry room for your use

The main floor has:

• A large activity room. Activity coordinators arrange group activities such as exercise classes and musical performances here.
• Storage for scooters

All tenants receive:

• Personal care. This may include help with taking medications, dressing, bathing and grooming
• Lunch, dinner and two snacks each day
• Weekly basic housekeeping, including linen laundry
• 24-hour emergency response system, including on-site staff 24 hours a day

Our community

We encourage tenants to personalize their suites with cherished possessions, photographs and mementos. We also encourage them to get to know their neighbours. We regularly hold special events, including birthday celebrations.
