What to bring

Be aware of what you will need to bring to make your stay as comfortable, safe and home-like as possible.

Please do NOT bring:

  • Large sums of money and valuables, such as jewelry or watches (see below)
  • Pets
  • Portable radiators, kettles or humidifiers due to risks of burns, fire and mould

Cash & valuables

While you are welcome to bring some personal items to make your room feel more comfortable, unfortunately we do not have extra storage space for belongings. Please do not bring in large amounts of cash or valuables. If you have valuables that you want to keep with you, we suggest you obtain insurance. We are not responsible for lost or stolen money or valuables. Our insurance only covers items that we have damaged or lost.

About the building & amenities

In the home-like setting of the Hospice, residents and visitors can enjoy a dining room, family room, living room and quiet room. We also have selected pieces of fine art and dedicated access to the Botanical Garden via the main gate.

The live-in hospice features:

  • 14 wheelchair accessible bedrooms with garden views and private bathrooms. We also welcome residents to personalize their rooms with their own belongings, like photos and keepsakes.
  • Warm living room with a gas fireplace, activity area, spectacular view and patio access
  • A dining room for residents, visitors and staff
  • Facilities for staff and research
