St. Paul's Maternity Care Clinic

What to expect

In our clinic, we only see patients with booked appointments. You may have a booked appointment with a family physician, midwife and/or our nurse/lactation consultant.

When you arrive, you will check in with Sarah or Kathy our unit clerks and then wait in the waiting area for your appointment. If you are being seen for a prenatal appointment, we ask you to check your blood pressure and weight prior to seeing the nurse or family doctor. We will teach you how to do this.

We are a clinical teaching site and you may see a student as part of your clinic visit. We train medical student, family practice residents and midwifery students. If you do not feel comfortable with a student being involved in your care, please let the unit clerk know prior to your appointment.
