West Coast Conference on Aging: Jun 19-20, 2025

Welcome to the 2025 West Coast Conference on Aging, the premier event redefining the future of seniors' care. This year’s theme, Wellness, Strength, and Vitality in Aging, will guide two transformative days of learning, collaboration, and innovation.

At the forefront of Seniors’ care, this conference brings together a diverse group of participants—distinguished scholars, visionary leaders, clinicians, change-makers, individuals with lived experience, and policymakers—united in a shared commitment to improving the aging journey. These are the voices not just part of the conversation, but the ones actively reshaping it.

With Canada’s senior population set to double over the next two decades, advancing wellness and promoting healthy aging is more crucial than ever. This conference offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage with thought leaders and experts as they share fresh insights and groundbreaking solutions that enhance health, well-being, and vitality across the lifespan.

Throughout the event, we will explore essential topics ranging from the socioeconomic challenges of aging to the unique wellness needs of Elders in rural communities. You'll have the chance to examine the future of aging through innovative approaches, from fostering social connection through emerging technologies like social robots to tackling the complex ethical questions these innovations raise.

We’ll also dive deep into strategies for frailty prevention, strength preservation, and innovative care models for individuals living with dementia. Moreover, we’ll discuss creating nurturing environments for seniors, including those with histories of trauma or substance use, and explore how design and intentional community-building can foster health, resilience, and social connectedness.

The West Coast Conference on Aging isn’t just an event—it’s a catalyst for transformative change. Prepare to be inspired by thought-provoking discussions, groundbreaking ideas, and forward-thinking solutions, all aimed at promoting and preserving wellness throughout the aging process. Join us as we shape the future of aging together.
