Info for Visitors
Visiting Hours – Family presence at Providence Health Care
Family plays an important role in a patient’s and resident’s healing process. Families are welcome to be present at any time – Providence Health Care does not restrict visiting hours to family members. Click here to learn more.
For more information, including visiting at meal time and patient weekend or day passes, take a look at our ‘Making the most of your Visit’ booklet. Please share it with your family and friends. If you don’t receive one soon after moving in, please ask your social worker.
Family Gatherings
We have one or two rooms available for families to use for gatherings. Catering can be arranged through Food Services. Please ask Food Services about their charges. If your family prefers to bring in food – no problem! After the gathering, we ask the room be left clean for the enjoyment of other residents.
Pets
Pets are also welcome visitors. We ask the owner of the pet to keep the visiting animal under control at all times, so your pet will not be the cause of someone being hurt or falling. Pet owners are responsible for immediate clean up after the pet both within the residence and on surrounding property. We may also have a pet or two who live in our home. Donations are welcome to pay for their food and veterinary services. If you would like to help us in caring for our pets, we would love to have you be part of our pet care team. Just let one of us know. If you have allergies to any animal, please let us know.
Parkview Visiting Hours
You are encouraged to notify the care team ahead of your visit, as it may impact the care your loved one is scheduled to receive. It may or may not be an ideal time for a visit depending on where the care team is in the course of the client’s daily treatment. If a large group is coming at one time, please inform the receptionist so the care staff on the floor are prepared. There are no set visiting hours, but access after 5:00 p.m. is by a phone located at the front entrance.
