Overview

The safety of everyone in our hospitals and facilities is very important to us. 

Paladin Security Group and our Relational Security Officers are responsible for our frontline security operations.

Each team has a unique set of responsibilities. Learn more about the services available below.

Paladin security officers

Paladin security officers are located at the following Providence Health Care sites:

Officers who work for Paladin receive education in Indigenous cultural safety and humility as well as trauma- and violence-informed care.

Paladin security officers wear a white button-up shirt which has a badge on the side.

Relational security officers (RSOs)

Relational security officers are employed by the health authority. They work in collaboration with health care staff. They currently work at the following sites: 

RSO staff receive additional training, which includes:

  • Equity, diversity, and inclusion practices
  • Indigenous cultural safety and humility
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Building healthy and positive relationships
  • Mental health and substance use

RSO staff wear a light blue polo with the lettering “Relational Security” on the back, khaki colored pants, and have the Providence Health Care logo.

RSOs help staff foster safe environments.

Parking at Providence locations is managed by Impark.

    The Indigenous Wellness Team at Providence is available to support Indigenous patients and their families. We are here to coordinate culturally safe wellness supports and services.
