Patricia Fischer Rohlfs

St. Paul's Maternity Care Clinic

St. Paul's Hospital

Patricia Rohlfs (she/her) was born in Belgium, raised in France, and made her home in beautiful Vancouver in January 2000 – an auspicious way to begin a new century and chapter of life. As a midwife, she is honored to live and provide holistic care on the ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamsih) nations. A graduate of the UBC Midwifery Program, Patricia has been supporting pregnant families in both English and French since 2006, first as a doula and breastfeeding counselor, and soon after as a midwife.

Throughout her career, Patricia has dedicated herself to full-scope community midwifery within a small team, caring for a diverse population with a wide range of backgrounds and needs. She is now thrilled to be part of the St. Paul’s Maternity Clinic. In addition to her passion for supporting families through the transformative experience of pregnancy and birth, she also serves as a clinical instructor, an OSCE examiner for UBC Midwifery, and works as a consultant for the Canadian licensing exam for midwives.

Patricia is committed to providing care that feels safe, respectful, individualized, and celebratory. She nurtures her love of life and community by spending time with loved ones, rejuvenating in nature, traveling, meditating, walking in the rain, plunging into cold water, and dancing.
