Monsignor Gregory Smith

Monsignor Gregory Smith joined the Providence Health Care Society in 2020. 

He is the vicar general of the Archdiocese of Vancouver and pastor of Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Vancouver  

A graduate in political science from the University of British Columbia, Monsignor Smith studied canon law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., from which he received the licentiate degree, and in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University, from which he received a doctorate.

Monsignor Smith received the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal in 1992 and was named a Prelate of Honour of His Holiness in 1995.
