Josh Swain

Josh Swain is a Red River Métis, public health policy professional, proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA* community, and advocate for advancing Indigenous health equity. In his current leadership role at Toronto Public Health, Josh works closely with Indigenous service providers and communities to develop and implement policies that address health inequities for Toronto’s Indigenous populations. Josh’s talk will focus on how historical injustices impact the treatment of Indigenous people in Canadian healthcare and ways of breaking down systemic barriers and improving outcomes for these groups.
