Dr. Amar moved to Vancouver in 1984, where he has and has been on active staff at St Paul's Hospital and UBC. Dr. Amar’s research interest is in the areas of cellular changes in IBD related cancer risk and has carried out research in these areas sponsored by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
He participates in clinical teaching at all levels, including the advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship.
