Anna Rahmani is an assistant clinical professor at UBC. She completed her PhD in cell and molecular biology followed by her medical degree at UBC before moving to Montreal to complete her general internal medicine residency and thrombosis fellowship at McGill University.

Dr. Rahmani is actively involved with the inpatient General Internal Medicine Clinical Teaching Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital and enjoys teaching internal medicine trainees. Her main interest, however, is thrombosis medicine. Dr. Rahmani has an outpatient general internal medicine and thrombosis clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital.

Dr. Rahmani’s special interests include perioperative anticoagulation and management of venous thromboembolic disease. She is a member of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and has won multiple teaching awards. In her free time, she enjoys painting and making pottery with her two daughters.
