Dr. Adrienne Lee is a hematologist and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She completed her Hematology training and a two-year research fellowship in Hemostasis at the University of Calgary. Prior to relocating to Victoria, BC in 2021, Dr. Lee served as the hemostasis medical lead for the Southern Alberta Rare Blood & Bleeding Disorders Comprehensive Care Program in Calgary.
In Victoria, Dr. Lee practices general hematology and provides consultative services at Royal Jubilee Hospital, as well as to patients across Vancouver Island. She joined the Adult Bleeding Disorders Program at St. Paul’s Hospital in September 2022, where she collaborates with the team to care for bleeding disorder patients locally on Vancouver Island, through the outreach program, and via virtual care.
Dr. Lee's research interests include prophylaxis, aging complications, and bone health in adults with hemophilia, the use of point-of-care global coagulation assays for managing bleeding and thrombosis disorders, and studies on platelet procoagulant membrane dynamics. She is also a board member of the Association of Hemophilia Clinic Directors of Canada (AHCDC).
Dr. Lee enjoys the lifestyle on Vancouver Island with her family, combining her professional dedication with a fulfilling personal life.
