We welcome the opportunity to play a role in training future Psychologists. Currently, our priority is to offer training rotations to the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority pre-doctoral clinical psychology residency training program. We are occasionally able to offer other practica experiences to eligible students.
Placement Priority
- VCH Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Residency Training Program students
- Students from other CPA-accredited post-graduate clinical or counseling psychology programs within the province of British Columbia
- Students from CPA-accredited post-graduate clinical or counseling psychology programs from elsewhere within Canada
Practica opportunities
The practica opportunities are created on a case-by-case basis, and depend on the availability of a supervisor within a student's area of interest. Students who are successfully placed in a practica are from a CPA-accredited post-graduate program and come with established therapy skills, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, and a strong interest or background in the program where they are seeking to find a practica placement.
