Summary

Foundry is dedicated to transforming youth health services. As part of our mission, we focus on providing top-notch training and educational activities to our network. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Learning & Development Coordinator to join our team and help us achieve our goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Training Coordination: Work closely with the Education and Training pod and other teams to plan and implement both online and in-person training programs.

Platform Management: Assist with the management of our online training platform, including course schedules, participant registration, and user support.

Resource Development: Develop and standardize training materials, resources, and assessment tools.

Partner Engagement: Gather information from various Foundry partners about existing training programs and future needs.

Content Curation & Research: Support the team with content curation and related research activities.

Data Analysis: Prepare and generate reports, surveys, and summaries, and analyze data to improve training effectiveness.

Event Logistics: Coordinate logistical activities for events, both in-person and digital, ensuring smooth execution.

Promotional Activities: Prepare and disseminate promotional and marketing materials, including the Education and Training Newsletter.

What You Bring

Education:

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education, Social Sciences or a related field plus three (3) years recent, related experience. Previous experience working with learning management systems is an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of issues related to adult learning, education material development and coordination.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people from all levels of the organization and community.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Ability to work and learn independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate as part of a larger team.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstration proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in using the Internet to research information.
  • Familiarity with concepts related to youth mental health public health research and the social determinants of health is an asset.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

What We Offer

  • Works collaboratively with members of the Knowledge Translation and Exchange pod to support the planning, development, implementation of training and education programs.
  • Assists with management of Foundry learning management system (LMS) by creating course shells; maintaining instructor information; setting up and managing master schedules, course schedules, course registration and completion. Provides user support, liaises with Foundry IT staff on escalated systems issues, and acts a point of contact for the LMS.
  • Gathers and summarizes information from across Foundry Central Office (FCO) and the broader Foundry network regarding existing training programs and the need for future training programs for competency development.
  • Supports the creation, maintenance and standardization of all training and orientation programs and materials and assessment tools to the extent possible, including the creation and roll out of new training materials and documentation related to new releases, updates or changes. Liaises with instructors/presenters to address questions and support seamless delivery of service.
  • Assists with content curation by conducting research on specific topics, documenting sources, developing visuals, preparing and conducting surveys, and analyzing data.
  • Plans and manages the delivery of training sessions, provides regular updates to the Lead regarding the progress and brings forward any areas of concern requiring leadership attention, direction and support.
  • Manages learner questions and concerns, and produces correspondence related to educational opportunities for learners.
  • Supports logistical activities for events by booking rooms, venues, virtual sessions, sending out notifications and arranging for equipment and other resources. Provides technical support for digital venues.
  • Acts as a key liaison and subject matter expert for the Knowledge Translation and Exchange pod and across all Foundry training teams.
  • Supports the evaluation of the effectiveness of training programs, activities and resources by analysing learning outcomes, and developing and using evaluation tools.
  • Performs test run of the curriculum in LMS ahead of the actual delivery to identify any areas requiring further refinement, to ensure seamless learning experience for learners.
  • Provides end user support in the learning environment, including assisting with troubleshooting, identifying options and implementing appropriate action as per team processes including escalations, learners requiring additional support or rescheduling.
  • Generates reports, analyzes waitlists, program requests, attendance data and participant survey feedback to support educational planning and service delivery.
  • Promotes awareness of Foundry training and education activities and initiatives by developing and disseminating marketing and promotional materials both online and in print.
  • Maintains database of instructors/presenters, makes travel arrangements, and processes payment of invoices and other expenses. Orders materials and supplies as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.
