Mark Spelliscy, Chair

Mark Spelliscy joined the Providence Health Care Society in June, 2014.

Prior to his retirement in 2012 Mark enjoyed a 32 year career with Scotiabank in a variety of senior management positions throughout B.C.

Mark has been involved in the community all his life: volunteering and working at Boys and Girls Clubs while attending UBC, a former member of Kiwanis and a fundraiser for Big Brothers, United Way, Variety - The Children’s Charity, Special Olympics and Junior Achievement.

Mark joined the Board of Holy Family Hospital Foundation in 2001 and became Chair. He helped oversee the mergers of three separate hospital foundations to create the Tapestry Foundation for Health Care, where he was Past Board Chair, and was involved in Tapestry’s subsequent merger with St Paul’s Foundation.

Mark and his wife, Beverly, have been married for 42 years.  They have two married sons and four grandchildren.
